One of the many missions of a church is outreach and that is no different for Sidney First UMC. Mayfest is a weekend in which 7,000-8,000 people converge on Sidney to play soccer. Because of this, our outreach would not be to just to our Sidney residents but those that are visiting our beautiful town as well. The Gospel is essential to our faith journey and sometimes our busyness of life (school, sports, homework, work, etc) can wedge in between that. This concert was created to reach not only the believers but those who struggle to hear the Gospel every day, once a week or not at all. Our prayer has been that this is a family friendly, God centered event that will touch lives, create friendships and bring us all closer to Jesus as well as it be affordable and engaging (we know this soccer stuff isn’t cheap). This is our first time doing this, so we are hoping and praying that you want to join us for a wonderful night.
